Andersen Boutique Hotel

In the hip neighborhood of Vesterbro, Andersen Boutique Hotel is where we spent a quick weekend in Copenhagen. The bright, colorful decor is a modern compliment to the rich colors on the streets on Copenhagen. All of the attention to detail at smaller boutique hotels is something I love! These little touches to make their guests feel comfortable and at ease while traveling is what makes a holiday so special! One of these little touches is the complimentary wine happy hour in the afternoons…it was the perfect time for us to seek a little warmth from the cold Copenhagen day, sip some wine, and play a few games from their collection of chess, backgammon,  or cards. They also offer an afternoon treat at their sister hotel, Absalon, of gløgg and aebleskivers….very proper Danish treats! Gløgg is mulled wine with spices, nuts, raisins, and figs served with a spoon. Aebleskivers is first of all the cutest name, but basically are just donut holes served with powdered sugar and jams–delicious! Another little touch, that I think is very novel, is the CONCEPT24 program, allowing guests to stay a full 24 hours with their room. The perfect solution to weekend city breaks and late evening flights!
