Blown Away in Brighton : A Sunny Seaside Escape

With the warm weather starting to creep in, I thought I’d share one of my favorite (and easy!) getaways from London! The southern coast surrounding Brighton is beautiful and even eccentric…the perfect combination of charming small towns, stunning nature, and just the right amount of hipster!Blown Away in BrightonWe hopped on the Southern Rail from London Victoria (this was a time before strikes and limited service and delays, maybe one day we can experience this life again! 😉 ) and in less than an hour we were ready to explore Brighton! First stop, walking the Lanes…this historic walkway is the perfect area to meander with a coffee, do a little shopping, and soak up some coastal charm.Blown Away in BrightonNext, we wandered to the Royal Pavilion. The lush green gardens and extraordinary architecture were so picturesque!Blown Away in Brighton Blown Away in Brighton Blown Away in BrightonYou can’t visit Brighton without a stop on by the seaside and the pier. The very classic style pier is overwhelmed with arcades and games–the perfect fun stop in the afternoon!Blown Away in Brighton Blown Away in Brighton Blown Away in BrightonNow that you’re ready to escape the screaming kiddos…head to the super chic and cool Cocktail Shack for some adult beverages! And wander downstairs if you want to keep up with the games–there are ping pong table to play!Blown Away in Brighton Blown Away in Brighton Blown Away in Brighton Blown Away in Brighton

Follow along the coast and you’ll land in Worthing… we stayed with some dear friends here for the weekend! They showed us the best time exploring their town and also led me to the cutest row of bright colored houses! You know I loved this…Blown Away in Brighton Blown Away in Brighton Blown Away in Brighton Blown Away in Brighton Blown Away in Brighton Blown Away in Brighton Blown Away in BrightonA quick stroll through the super, duper charming town of Arundel, where cars were posed parked in perfect photogenic spots!Blown Away in Brighton Blown Away in Brighton Blown Away in Brighton Blown Away in Brighton Blown Away in Brighton Blown Away in Brighton Blown Away in BrightonThe Black Rabbit Pub in Arundel is the perfect Sunday Roast spot if the weather is nice…we sat beside the river with these gorgeous weeping willows offering shade!Blown Away in BrightonNext up, a drive to the breathtaking (and slightly nerve-racking) Beachy Head. The views are epic but I couldn’t help but worry the ground beneath us would just fall out! If you can handle it, it’s the perfect place for a sunny picnic.Blown Away in Brighton Blown Away in Brighton Blown Away in Brighton Blown Away in Brighton Blown Away in Brighton Blown Away in Brighton Blown Away in Brighton Blown Away in Brighton
