Flashback to Atlantis 2014

As we finish up filling our suitcases for not only our big move across the pond but for a quick jaunt to the Bahamas (perfect timing, right?!), I am reminiscing about all of our favorite moments of our Atlantis trip last year. Here’s a quick list of my Atlantis must-sees from 2014 (and we can see how this year’s trip compares):

Dolphin Cay: swimming with dolphins was every bit the hurry up and wait in line charade I thought it would be. The Atlantis staff provides all the supplies you need, including a quick tutorial–which was super important for me, as I tend to be a little fearful of animals and hopping into the water with one was somewhat unnerving. With that being said, I was so impressed with the dolphins. They were such gentle, sweet animals! I think swimming with dolphins is one of those things you must do once and then that’s probably enough. It is very pricey though and if you’re going to do it you want the photo evidence to commemorate it, adding many more $$$. Overall, I enjoyed Atlantis’ Dolphin Cay as my first experience and I have beautiful pictures to remember it forever, but if I want to swim with dolphins again I would do on the cheap or maybe just look at them from a boat.

Water park: from the not-so-lazy river to the infamous shark tank water slide, the Atlantis water park does not disappoint. Secure that bikini top tight, you’re in for a ride! ๐Ÿ™‚

Cafe Martinique: the atmosphere was perfection…French/Southern flair at it’s finest, including a wrought-iron birdcage elevator and a plantation style balcony overlooking the marina. And bananas foster. That is all.

The Cove Pool: adults only, poolside casino, Vegas style DJ, in-water cabanas… every time I was meandering by the pool I literally felt like I was that awkward extra ruining a music video. Bottle service at The Cove equates to drinking from the bottle, yes, drinking Grey Goose straight from the bottle.
