First things first. How did we get here?!

Ryan and I have always considered the possibility of living overseas; exploring new cultures and cities, seeing the world and just having a great, big adventure together!

The timing was perfect… I finished my masters degree at Duke in December so when the opportunity to move to London in April came up, we naturally jumped! Oh but the details…telling our families and friends, visa applications, selling our house, storage units, packing up the most important things to move, and then there’s the move. Where will we live, where will I work, and where will we travel?

So this is our journey from my perspective: A southern belle on an adventure abroad.
