Packing : Spain in Spring

Anyone in desperate need of some sunshine and warm breezes? I was longing for some vitamin D and our early spring escape to the south of Spain was just what this girl needed. The small Spanish villages were booming with culture and of course, tasty tapas and refreshing sangria. We arrived in Malaga with hungry bellies and our sunnies on….and were not disappointed! It was the perfect time to visit the Costa del Sol and even wander up to Sevilla and Granada…an area that I’ve heard can be unbearably hot in the summer months.

Be prepared to let your skin breathe and bare those legs! I packed layers and layers for this escape–as I wanted to be able to soak up as much sunshine as possible! Don’t forget a bikini or two…depending on the day you might get to lounge by the beach or a gorgeous pool like this at the Reserva del Higueron…

The rest of my suitcase was full of light blouses, jeans, a few lightweight dresses, and of course, a gorgeous pair of sunnies! My chambray button-up was the only “jacket” I needed and it’s perfect for layering on any outfit. And of course, don’t forget some super comfortable, chic sneakers for all that walking!

  1. My recent trip to Southern Spain was literally a dream. I went to Granada, Malaga, and Sevilla (I know, I know, it’s Seville) and love every second of it – from the tapas, to palaces, and local markets, I couldn’t get enough. Can’t wait to make it back to Andalusia!
