You’ve heard me rave about my love for riads before but here is the post with the in’s and out’s of staying in one. We choose the stunning Riad BE in Marrakech after some serious searching because, not only is it GORGEOUS, but the owners, Nicole and Mo, were so great in helping us plan our holiday! They have built a beautiful hotel (that feels like a home) in the center of the medina, where as their motto states, you can truly BE in the moment. We were welcomed with the traditional Moroccan tea and the most delicious homemade coconut cookies….and before I could even enjoy one, my camera was snapping! This place is so photogenic…The riad has every detail thought out…every coordinating tile, etched archways, and even extravagant draperies. The centerpiece pool of the riad is ornate and yet relaxing…with cozy chairs surrounding and books to read with your toes in the water. There are 6 rooms available, all in unique taste and with cozy extras. A new double room just opened if you’re traveling with a group or a family but there is always the option to book exclusive use if you have a larger party (14-16 people). How fun would this be for a group holiday or even a family escape?! The rooftop terrace is the perfect place to start your day with breakfast or to finish it with a sunset drink. There’s even a few riad pets slowly crawling around…3 turtles! And breakfast at the riad is not one to be missed…or not photographed! Have those cameras ready… Staying in the heart of the medina is the best way to experience Marrakech and Riad BE is the place to be! We felt so welcomed and at home here! I would highly recommend booking a cooking class with them as well….it was so fun! I’ll more up on this soon!
