SKYLINE VIEWS & OZO COLOMBO

The capital city of Sri Lanka, Colombo, offers a variety of activities for visitors with many incredible accommodation options. If you’re after the heart of the city or a shopping escape or a sandy beach stay, there is a place for everyone. With the city clinging to the coastline, a seaside stay sounded perfect to me! A room with a view of simply the ocean…yes, please! Not to mention the epic skyline views of the bright lights of the city from the rooftop, the OZO Colombo was a winner. SKYLINE VIEWS & OZO COLOMBO | the belle abroad

We arrived late to Colombo from Kandy and headed to the rooftop bar and restaurant for a late night bite and cocktails. The sound of the waves crashing into the coastline and a sparkling panoramic view of Colombo wasn’t so bad either! We were lucky enough to have a local order for us and were spoiled for choice with the delicious Sri Lankan cuisine. My absolute favorites of the dinner were the fried lotus flowers and the deviled chicken! The OZO also has a super fun weekly street food night that I am so bummed we missed…if you’re there on a Tuesday, go for me!SKYLINE VIEWS & OZO COLOMBO | the belle abroad SKYLINE VIEWS & OZO COLOMBO | the belle abroad SKYLINE VIEWS & OZO COLOMBO | the belle abroad SKYLINE VIEWS & OZO COLOMBO | the belle abroad

After a short walk from the front doors, you’ll be walking on the Wellawatta beach with sand in your toes…ready to relax and soak up the sun. The city center is a quick fifteen minutes by car as are most of the highlights of Colombo including : Gangaramaya Temple, Dehiwala Zoo, the Old Parliament Building. SKYLINE VIEWS & OZO COLOMBO | the belle abroad SKYLINE VIEWS & OZO COLOMBO | the belle abroad SKYLINE VIEWS & OZO COLOMBO | the belle abroad

I’ve mentioned previously that OZO is all about your best nights sleep…a concept I can totally get onboard with! The beds are luxe and spacious, perfect for a restful night after exploring.
