From someone used to moving…
We’ve made a little habit of moving about every 3 years — for the record, it’s not one I want to keep up! But with all this relocating, I’ve picked up a few little tricks along the way to make even the most temporary of living situations a home.
1. Liven It Up
That is, add some living decor + freshen the place up! You don’t need to get too carried away but even a few small succulents or terrariums will make it feel fresh and homey.

2. Hang Something
Of course a gallery wall will quickly make a place feel all your own but even just a few pieces or photos can make such a big difference! And don’t think this means holes every where…try printing out some square images of your latest travels + creating a small {frameless} gallery wall with some double-sided tape!

A statement piece doesn’t have to mean shelling out the big bucks — just find something that says WOW. Whether it’s a bright colored accent chair, an oversized mirror, or a unique wall clock, these pieces stand out and exclude your distinct taste…making the space yours!
3. Add a few statement pieces
4. It’s all about the accents
Display all of those special knick-knacks and keepsakes — these are the things that mean something special to you + will make your house a home. Something as simple as a little Italian flag from your time studying abroad to your grandmother’s jewelry case.

5. Bliss Out Your Bathroom
It may not be the first room you think of when you think about making your house a home, but it is the place you go to refresh and relax. So light some candles, line your tub with scented scrubs + salts, and maybe fill the cabinets with a variety of your favorite products!
